a snow day!

Well...just one week before Spring...and Our Lord decided to surprise us with this beautiful storm :0)

It is now up to 3.5 feet of snow.

Hopefully it will end by tomorrow around 8 pm.

As for us here in the cottage...

I'll be sitting down spinning some wool, while leek & potato soup simmers on the stove :0).

I just love snowy days...

  3. Oh my, my friend! I forget where you live, but our son lives in Maine and that is the kind of snow storms they have! Your potato and leek soup sounds SO warm. I just love that combination...such comfort food! And you are spinning! I'm so glad you have such beautiful ways to express your creativity, Mari. Have a wonderful evening, my friend.

  4. It's very pretty, Mari, but I'll keep our weather! I don't know how y'all live through this stuff! I'd be banging my head on the wall! Cabin fever has always been a problem for me. The soup sounds wonderful!

    Grace & Peace,

  7. Oh my goodness, lots and lots of snow. We have had such a mild winter. Although, yesterday, the middle of March and it was so cold here and we had snow most of the morning. It was so pretty, but it is gone now and we are to warm into the 70's over the weekend. My way of thinking is to enjoy each and every day, no matter the weather. Because here in Kansas if you are not happy with the weather at the moment, just stay around for a few minutes and it will most likely change. Have a blessed day. Hugs ♥ Teri
